Noninvasive Tear Break-Up Time
A quick test of how long your tear film lasts before it breaks apart between blinks.
This test evaluates the stability of your tear film. A grid or concentric-ring pattern is projected onto the cornea as you blink, and the rings distort where the cornea becomes dry.
A short break-up time points to evaporative dry eye and gland dysfunction.
