Blepharitis
Blepharitis is inflammation and buildup along the eyelid margin that irritates the eye and clogs the oil glands.
Blepharitis causes red, crusted, or itchy lid margins and often goes hand in hand with dry eye and MGD. Buildup and bacteria along the lash line inflame the lids and block the glands.
Consistent lid cleaning plus in-office treatment usually brings it under control.
